Just one week before the birth of his first daughter, James was made redundant—a moment that could have easily been defined by stress and uncertainty. Instead, he chose to see it as an opportunity for reinvention.

 

Having previously owned and operated a small construction company, James knew the challenges that many small business owners face—juggling countless responsibilities, managing tight budgets, and often wearing too many hats just to keep things moving. He experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to grow a business without the resources to hire full-time staff or bring in specialised support. Out of this realisation, the idea for Abbott Consulting was formed: a flexible, responsive solution designed specifically for small and growing businesses.
